One of the best ways to adjust Profit Trailer settings based on changing market conditions, is to use PT Magic's OFFSET and OFFSETPERCENT feature. Rather than writing completely new settings and values for every market condition you specify, you can simply **increase or decrease the values of those settings by a specified amount**.
For example, you may be using a LOWBB strategy for buys. During a downtrend, PT Magic triggers your "Bear" setting and reduces your LOWW buy strategy value by 25% from 40, to 30. Or it might decrease your initial buy value by 50%. Conversely, during an uptrend you might want to increase this value by 25%, and increase your initial buy, by 25%. It is possible to use an OFFSETPERCENT with any Profit Trailer setting that uses a numerical value.
